Gianfranco Zola

Gianfranco is known as being one of Italy's most successful exports, having enjoyed amazing success with Chelsea between 1996 and 2003.

Born on Sardinia, Gianfranco started his career with Nuorese and Torres before joining Serie A side Napoli in 1989 where he won the league title the same year.

After four years with Napoli, he spent time with Parma, where he won both the UEFA Cup and European Super Cup, before moving to London and Chelsea in 1996.

In seven years at Stamford Bridge, Gianfrano won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup WInner's Cup, as well as becoming a two-time Super Cup winner in 1998.

He remains a hugely popular figure in West London.

Internationally, he made 35 appearances for Italy, including in the World Cup of 1994 alongside Beppe Signori, before wrapping up his career back on Sardinia with Cagliari.

Since retiring, Gianfranco has enjoyed success as a pundit and manager, taking in spells with West Ham, Watford, Cagliari and Birmingham City.
